How to Get a Primary Colour
There are three ways to get a Primary Colour:
- Choose the Centre Colour
When you place a hex, look at the colour in the centre. This is your Primary Colour. - If there are two colours in the centre, you may choose either one.
- Trade Cards
Trade one Primary Colour card and one Penalty card of any colour to get a Primary Colour. - Join Three Matching Dabs
If you have three dabs of the same Primary Colour, place a hex over them to join them together and create a Primary Colour.
Remember: Each Primary Colour can be obtained using any one of these three methods.

Exchanging Colour Palette Cards
- You may exchange 3 cards of the same colour palette for 1 Black card or 1 White card.
- You may also exchange 3 cards of the same colour palette to get ANY Secondary or Tertiary Colour Palette card.
- You cannot use this exchange to get:
- A Primary Colour
- Grey
- Bisque
Example:
If you have 3 cards of the same colour palette, you can trade them for 1 Secondary or Tertiary colour of your choice.
