Flowcoat is a thin surface coat, either coloured or clear that consist of orthothalic resin. It is used for decorative purposes and provides a protective coating for underlying laminate.

Flowcoat (also called topcoat) is a modified polyester gelcoat mixed with wax and styrene that cures to a hard, tack-free finish in open air.
